Review of The Killing (1956) by Kyle C — 29 Dec 2009
One of the best heist films of all time. Plus I'm a huge fan of Stanley Kubrick so the icy irony of the way he depicts human beings is always a pleasure for me. If you enjoy films that deal with shady characters trying to steal a lot of money, you will love this, regardless if it is in black and white or not.
The ending is powerful yet simple, the pig mask is awesome, and a horse gets shot...what else could you ask for from a Kubrick movie? Excellent concept Excellent execution, watch this damn FILM!
