Winterbottom's films are always interesting and I don't buy the argument that the violence (and it's incredibly brutal at that) is misogynistic, however this is such a mess. If you can follow it without being completely lost then you're better than me and if you reach the end without being irritated at just how contrived the whole story is then you've got more patience than me as well.

What works on the page doesn't always translate to film and I'm guessing that's what happened here.
