Review of The Killer Inside Me (2010) by Tyler W — 02 Oct 2012
From what I had heard about this film, the pacing was terrible, cinematography outstanding and acting utter rubbish. Wrong. The cinematography was basic, a few nice shots but nothing amazing. Pacing was alright, perhaps exploring the minds of the characters a bit more, going into their pasts, would of satisfied the substance hungry critics and lastly the acting was actually very convincing, I felt as if Casey Affleck was perfect for the role and he displayed a very chilling performance.
Jessica Alba was a surprise (for me) as I have never really seen a movie where she has been emotional or needed to give an oscar worthy performance. (Machete, Sin City) I wouldn't say this was oscar worthy nor worth a nomination but it was very believable.
Kate Hudson was good however (disapointingly) not amazing. For what it's worth, this film turned out to be a little too hated for it's cause. OH AND WAIT! The soundtrack to this film was very very very good.
I loved it. Every song was used perfectly even in homour in some scenes. Any way. This film turned out to be an entertaining, attractive and ocassionaly haunting display of good, bad, corruption and addiction.
