Have you ever heard of a story about two married lesbians who have two children from a sperm donor, and when one of the young kids turns eighteen sets out to find this biological father ? Well this is it, and the reason I ask this is because unquestionably this film is unique in its own way-no film has been made about such a plot.

So as the two kids meet their biological father, they begin to get close to him and establish a relationship with him. Of their two mothers, one of them just can't get enough of him and the other thinks he is getting in the way of the family.

What a plot this is! So stunning to have watched such a peculiar film. All the performances are all right indeed, and the underrated actor Mark Ruffalo defenitely performs his most well-crafted role. Annette Bening and Julianne Moore, along with Mia Wasikowska and Josh Hutcherson deliver fine performances that build up the momentum of the story.

But then, everything that the viewer didn't want to happen happens! Why? Why does the script fail to keep us satisfied with a great ending? Who knows, but what I do know is that there is in fact a lack of a better ending, I mean, I endured the last few moments of this film.

A story that is overall well structured made a sad attempt to establish the perfect finisher, the perfect touch, but not so accordingly doing so just transforms what should have happened into something that did not need to actually happen, leaving the viewer a bit pissed off.

A great plot, with a great cast, but a couple of disappointments and a bit of pain compose the screenplay, establishing quite a few differences into our perspective of the film.
