Review of The Kids Are All Right (2010) by Braz K — 22 Jun 2012
This is a movie that fits my theory that plot is the least important element in a movie. This movie is all about execution. Someone could tell you the whole plot before you watched it and it wouldn't affect your viewing experience at all.
Like Brokeback Mountain, the fact that the main characters are gay is essential to some aspects of the drama, but also like Brokeback Mountain, it proves that the themes of love and all of the related struggles are universal.
I don't know if I ever seen a movie that felt so close to my own life as this.
