Review of The Kid with a Bike (2011) by Lindsi J — 24 Mar 2012
An interesting story about an adolescent boy, Cyril, dealing with rejection and abandonment by his father and the good Samaritan hairdresser who takes him under her care. The story follows the troubled Cyril on his attempts to re-connect with his father, his relationship with the hairdresser and finding a father figure in local gangster.
An unconventional relationship story, some challenging themes, never overly sentimental and not a bad film - would be inclined to wait till it comes out on DVD.
