WHY has this film passed me by for so long. Utterly compelling, Mann paints a picture on the screen that just sucks you in with its foggy gothic atmos and utalises the Nazi bad guys to great effect. The soundtrack is LUSH and im going on the search for it.
.....but did anyone else here 'Walking in the Air' from 'The Snowman' in the final theme? Kinda funny in an ironic way. Freeky ass supernatural narrative I highly recommend. Plus I would love to see this rumoured 3 1/2 hour Mann cut.
