Review of The Karate Kid Part II (1986) by Robert Z — 25 Jan 2019
This 1986 sequel to the first Karate Kid is not only worthy, but honestly a better film. The cast delivers strong performances against a beautiful backdrop filmed in Oahu and portrayed as Okinawa. The father figure relationship Mr.
Miyagi has with Daniel is further explored as the young student must now be there for his mentor. The film is about understanding true honor, true friendship, and how far one will go for the glory of love.
