Review of The Karate Kid (2010) by Kyle M — 22 Aug 2014
A modern update of the original Karate Kid with a nice touch of the same elements when karate was referred as kung fu, next to Part II's cultural roots and Part III's negative roots that was put into the young antagonists. But it's not as great as the original. Jackie Chan, a martial arts artist, was perfect as the modern Miyagi. Jaden Smith's performance was his considerable breakthrough performance after his original breakthrough in "The Pursuit of Happyness." (B+).
