Review of The Jungle Book (2016) by Teresa W — 27 Aug 2016
I feel sorry for kid actors in the wake of the Netflix series Stranger Things. They (and ESPECIALLY Millie Bobby Brown) have set a new standard for kid actors and the one in The Jungle Book can't meet it.
He's boring. And if you don't care about the kid, then the rest of the film is yet another pointless CGI fartfest. The one time this movie tries to accomplish something, when Christopher Walken's King Louie is actually frightening for a couple seconds, they make him sing one of those tired songs from the 50-year-old cartoon.
Ram it, new Jungle Book!
