Review of The Jungle Book (2016) by Christopher K — 04 Jan 2017

I can't believe they remade one of my favorite movies as a child in such an incredibly photorealistic way that it not only brought something new to a classic, it will inspire a new generation. The fact that everything - from the animal cast to the scenery - is almost completely CGI shows that we've come so far in a matter of years.

This is a beautiful, thrilling, exciting, and fun work of art that would have definitely been in my top 10. And it actually did the impossible: It convinced me that a "live-action" version of The Lion King could be doable.

This is a must watch, and I will buy it.
