Review of The Jungle Book (2016) by Rachel T — 30 Jul 2017
Although it is a classic story, this adaptation may not be the best. Even with a star-studded cast, the voice acting is not always on par with the acting of the mancub Mogli which is superb. Some of the better parts of the animated film are also cut from this, and it can get quite boring at times.
The CGI is a little confusing. It's really well done but no matter how goof CGI gets, it will never be completely believable. And this film has CGI everywhere you turn, and at points it can be a little unnerving.
All in all, I don't regret seeing this film, but I don't think I'll be buying the DVD any time soon.
