Review of The Jungle Book (2016) by Dane O — 31 Aug 2016
Disney's live-action fairytales have finally found their footing with 'The Jungle Book'. I couldn't be more impressed, especially by Jon Favreau and newcomer Neel Sethi. There aren't many Blu-rays I preorder months in advance, but this is one of them.
I watched it the day it arrived and will continue sharing this with my family for years. Another thing that's impressive about Favreau's 'Jungle Book' is that it's at once faithful to the Disney original without being beholden to it.
Very, very impressive. And the voice work is incredible, especially Ben Kingsley, Bill Murray, and Scarlett Johansson.
