Review of The Jungle Book (2016) by Isadore H — 06 Jan 2017
Immaculate CGI and voice acting by an impressive cast is what makes The Jungle Book the next pillar in classic children's films. Staying true to the source material, but improving it in every way imaginable, starting with the villain and his motivations.
The young boy was pretty good in the movie but I especially loved Bill Murray as Baloo the Bear, and Idris Elba as the terrifying Shere Khan. The plot wasn't too different than most of the movies cranked out by Disney, but the setting and the picturesque shots were what made The Jungle Book stand out impossibly better than the original.
