Not many remakes go well, but this one was an A for me. The Jungle Book was my childhood and Disney stuck to their guns to make the characters just as memorable as the originals. I also like how they tried to make it more historically accurate by making KIng Louie a gigantopithicus.
Christopher Walken pulled it off well, and giving Shere Khan more backstory was also a good move as well.
