I define favorite movie as one that you can watch over and over and still experience the emotions of the story as powerfully as when you first watched it (whether the jokes are still funny or you still cry in the same parts).

This is what The Joy Luck Club is to me. I love the gravity of emotion and reassurance conveyed in this film as I watch it time and again. A truly lovely masterpiece!
