Review of The Journey of Natty Gann (1985) by Matt M — 13 Apr 2013
As far as Great Depression movies go, this is as formulaic as they come, and this being a Walt Disney film about the time, it lacks realism in favour of a more commercial look that is appealing to a young audience.
But aside from its weaknesses, The Journey of Natty Gann has its charming moments, and they especially come from the element of the friendship between the tomboyish girl and her wolf travel companion.
