Review of The Journey of Natty Gann (1985) by Jenn S — 13 Aug 2004
The Journey of Natty Gann is about a girl in the depression era, who's looking for her father. He had left to go on a job in order to take care of her. Thinking that he left for good, she heads out cross-country looking for him. Along the way, she's joined by a lone wolf, then later by a vagrant, played by John Cusack.
The visuals are fantastic, the characters are diverse, the acting is superb; all in all it's a great story with terrific directing. If you've got a couple of hours and want something non-Hollywood and nostalgic, go rent it.
