Horrible writing crippled this from the very start. Movies of the "Romancing the Stone" genre fare well enough on small scale but this one where the whole of North Africa is at stake in some unknown country that is led by a seemingly secular dictator is just ridiculous and unbelievable from the very beginning.
Glad there was no third film!
