Review of The Jerk (1979) by Spencer S — 07 Sep 2010
A mess of a movie and completely uneven screenplay with no direction. The Jerk is great though because it was at the height of Martin's career as a comedian. It's basically just his standup act made into a movie, kinda like Caddyshack was for Dangerfield.
This also had a ton of great supporting characters who were mostly unknowns. They just don't make comedies like this anymore and it sucks.
