I used to love this film. Maybe I'm allowing my opinion of current Steve Martin to taint what I liked about his earlier stuff, but after listening to a bunch of his records and seeing live video of his '70s standup, this film is only pretty-good in comparison.
The pacing drags at a few points even though there are enough jokes to keep it going.
