Review of The Jazz Singer (1927) by W. David L — 09 Jan 2007
It's a milestone. That's all. Actually, I was more impressed when I visited the WB museum, where they have an original script under glass, opened to the first spoken lines. This movie is only technically not the first sound film (there were others experimenting), so that really struck me - the first words spoken in film.
