Review of The Jane Austen Book Club (2007) by Karin D — 29 Aug 2008

Ok, yeah, I get it that they are trying to show that Jane Austen is still relevant in our modern lives, but do you really have to reduce her novels to chic lit in order to do that? Hmm... maybe if I thought about this as social commentary that contrasts the rich lives and reflections of Austen's heros and heroines to our comparitively paltry experiences.

.. then, I give it a 5!
