Review of The Jane Austen Book Club (2007) by Stephanie F — 26 Feb 2013

I was quite surprised to realize I enjoyed this because I had attempted to read the book and failed and if the source material isn't good, how could the movie be any good? But Hugh Dancy's adorableness helped a lot-his utter cluelessness about Austen and his passion for Jocelyn.

Prudie was very dislikable for much of the movie and I think people would enjoy the whole thing more if they are familiar with Austen. It also highlights the VERY important fact that more guys should read Austen!
