Review of The Jane Austen Book Club (2007) by Samantha-Jane S — 08 Apr 2009

I delightful romantic comedy with a delightful cast. This film obviously follows a Jane Austen book club, with friends and some new interesting faces. I loved the character interactions and although very predictable, I liked how they developed and ended up.

I enjoyed how the characters weaved their lives into Jane Austen's characters and novels. Lots of drama and lots of laughs. This one will make you want to read and discuss. Recommended for couples cuddled on a couch and perhaps Austen fans.
