Review of The Jacket (2005) by Em L — 08 Mar 2011
An unusual thriller that has a lot of unanswered questions, but is still very entertaining and engaging.
The storyline is nonlinear and exists at different points in time (almost like time travel), but because it follows the main character's perspective, it works well and doesn't get confusing. It's like if The Time Traveler's Wife followed the consciousness of the time traveler. The acting is solid all around, really defining dissimilar characters. The ending could have been darker, but it resolves the movie well while commentating on mortality and living life (similar to 21 Grams).
