The film presents a boy on the run from a Russian orphanage which is looking to sell him to an Italian couple. The first half paints a desperate picture of a Russian orphanage. The second half shows Vanya on the run to find his real mother.
Kolya Spiridonov is an amazing young actor and the story is interesting and, at times, thrilling.
