Review of The Italian (2005) by Dan K — 03 Sep 2007
Having a family shouldn't be taken for granted. Vanya reminds us the importance of belonging and how hope and determination can move mountains. I loved two details about the movie: 1) I believed that Vanya was real and 2) I felt part of the small Russian town.
Nonetheless, I did not feel involved with the characters.
