Review of The Island on Bird Street (1997) by Ross M — 30 Jan 2009
Watched this as extra credit for Political Science. Such a beautiful portrayal of this horrific event in history; the comparison of Alex's life and the story of Robinson Crusoe is done extraordinarily well.
Jordan Kiziuk (Alex) makes the movie, what a wonderful young actor. During the film I never saw these as actors portraying a story, it was so real and so engaging. It had amazing cinematography and lighting.
Best foreign film I think I've ever seen.
