Guess I have a soft spot for this movie, since it's not all that great. Brando is pretty much washed up by this point and Val Kilmer wasn't granted enough room to flex his acting ability. Fairuza Balk is fair enough and quite pale in this one.
I would like to read the novel and possibly see the original film before I pick this one apart. The plot is ineresting enough but this one flew below the radar back in the mid-90's.
