Review of The Island of Dr. Moreau (1996) by Joseph W — 30 Mar 2008
There's not much to like about this movie, except that-- according to interviews and stories that came out after the fact-- this film is apparently the result of a bunch of total lunatics getting together and making a movie nobody but the original director (who was fired pretty quickly) really cared about.
As a result, we get a lazy, practically narcotic performance from Val Kilmer and Marlon Brando walking around in a house dress with a lampshade on his head.
