Review of The Island (2006) by Ellis W — 16 Jun 2014
One of the better films to come from explosion enthusiast Michael Bay, The Island is a film of two halves, the first one just about grasping similar ideas from before, the second blowing everything up and going overboard on shaky cam and lens flare.
It bares traits that every single Bay film has, but it just about manages to quell the explosions and provide a smidgen of human drama.
