Review of The Island (2006) by Alex V — 20 Dec 2014
A man goes on the run after he learns he has been grown to be harvested for parts.
An interesting concept and I'll admit I was surprised to see this is one of Michael Bay's works!
In the near future, people have 'insurance policies' in order to keep their bodies in order. At a secret location, clones like Lincoln Six Echo are grown for that purpose - but Lincoln finds he's a little more self aware than some of those around him and eventually discovers the outside world they have been deterred from visiting.
I enjoyed it and it raises a few questions before ending in a pretty typical Bayhem style :).
