Review of The Island (2005) by [Anonymous] — 16 Dec 2005
This is Bay's 2nd best movie. Not all the action thrills, but enough of it does. The issues over human cloning and human worth are well presented, as well as some themes from the Matrix and 1984. It bests all but the Rock.
It's not as good as it could've been, but for once, Michael Bay proves he's capable of something more ambitious than his usual material.
