Review of The Iron Lady (2011) by Malevolent1991 M — 16 Jun 2012
Just because Meryl Streep is expected to give a phenomenal performance does not devalue her ability to do so. Streep's skills as an actress fully capture the ferocity, zeal, and personal convictions of the title character.
These traits are lost on the storytelling, which can be disjointed, confusing, and even tedious. The best example is personified in Thatcher's hallucinations of her dead husband: what begins as pleasant and genuine quickly turns to outright annoying.
