The Iron Giant is very emotional and it's quite unique in the way it is told in comparison to other animated movies of the time. I always loved this and had multiple viewings. I think if kids are interesting they should totally see this.
The animation is good and the robot is so....eeeek! I don't know why, I always ended up crying my eyes out over this, but uhh...i'm probably too sensitive for this world. The movie teaches different things about human kind and our relation to weapons etc.
I like it a lot.
