Review of The Iron Giant (1999) by Walter T — 19 Jan 2014
The blurb for this movie says based on the story "Iron Man" .. I found a copy of this book, and the stories share virtually nothing in common! That's no problem, as the movie story is magnitudes better.
One the real gems about this movie is that it not only is a very entertaining (for all ages) story, but it also delivers a powerful theme with surprising emotional clout. I think anyone who has seen it will agree that the final scenes where the giant must make a choice are exceptionally moving.
One of my favourite movies, including non-animated.
