One of the great animated and science fiction films of all time. "The Iron Giant" is a poignant and powerful plea for peace and understanding in times of fear and violence. The stunning and beautiful animation brings us a story that captures perfectly the wondrous imagination of boyhood.
Everything works in this movie: the visuals, the retro 50's vibe, the humor, the drama, the relationships (particularly between Hogarth and the Giant). All part of one seamless whole. Truly a timeless masterpiece.
