Review of The Invisible Woman (1940) by John C — 06 Feb 2009
Gone is the suspense and allure of the previous 'Invisible' installments. It has been replaced by camp, camp, camp. 'The Invisible Woman' is the 'Bride of Chucky' in the series, unfortunately the humor isn't as effective.
I understand that the series needs to go in a new direction to remain fresh, but it feels like the movie doesn't take itself seriously with a female lead. It was cool to see Shemp Howard without the other Stooges, and a treat to see Margaret Hamilton in a fairly small role towards the beginning of the movie.
