Review of The Invention of Lying (2009) by Santosh N — 27 Mar 2011
The Invention of Lying has a ridiculous plot which has attempted to market itself as original, however, it has miserably failed to be either funny or realistic. With too many nonsensical and overlooked plot holes, it is hard to be convinced of this other world and it should sadden the viewer that a good idea like this was trampled upon and torn to pieces by such a silly and awkward director.
Ricky Gervais' brightest and best moments were in his opening speech in the Golden Globes, and it doesn't seem like he is going anywhere from there. RIP that 5 minute genius Gervais.
