Review of The Invention of Lying (2009) by Andreas O — 07 Jan 2011
Interesting and inspired yet thoroughly exasperating, The Invention of Lying is something like Liar Liar in reverse. While it does raise a couple of good points about religion and social order, it is severely held back by the standard romantic schlock and - at times - the unlikability of the characters.
The first half of the movie is great, I'll give it that, but then it falls kind of flat.
