Review of The Intruder (1962) by Adam B — 19 May 2008
A big city racist drifts into town to incite racial hatred to its townspeople. Shatner gives an astonishing performance as the bigoted Adam Cramer, literally light years away from the wooden performances he would later give Captain Tiberius Kirk. But of course, like Kirk, Shatner's character can't keep his cock in his pants - and this becomes one of Adam Cramer's flaws.
Roger Corman himself believes this to be his favourite film and the fact that the movie was made around the time that these things were actually happening makes the film now seem more relevant and real.
Seek this film out - it really is a masterpiece.
