One of the reasons that I am proud to call myself a Chicagoan is because Steve James lives here. HOOP DREAMS and now THE INTERRUPTERS teach us not only about the documentary form but also how we can be better humans.
I can only hope Mr. James continues to splice our lives on the big screen.
