Review of The Interpreter (2005) by Aya H — 10 Jun 2010
An interpreter with a cultural background you wouldn't expect. An agent with a deep sadness he wants to leave behind. A political rivalry that is threatening to become global... Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn hold the lead roles in an action drama that grips and holds you captive in its story. I have very little to criticize about this movie...it stands above many of the other CIA/security dramas due to the original storyline and clever dialogue. The casting is hugely accurate and well thought out. I'm a fan and a big one!
I think it just appeals to me because of the third-culture background I myself grew up in.
