Review of The Internship (2013) by Amber S — 11 Jan 2015
Review In A Nutshell:
I knew The Internship was not going to be an amazing film, but I did not expect it to be this dull; a film that pegs itself as a comedy but is unable to bring almost any laughs. The film is a clear satire on the difficulties of employment in the 21st century, but unfortunately the film barely creates anything clever or hilarious with it. This film would have worked much better as a drama rather than a comedy, as it would have given the film the opportunity to explore the pains and troubles of its characters. Also the performances brought in by Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson was simply one-note; I wanted to see that wonderful chemistry that I have seen from the duo in films like Wedding Crashers. This was such a dull film, a complete waste of my time. If you want to see a better film that takes a similar subject, go and watch Up in the Air or Nightcrawler.
