Review of The Internship (2013) by Tom B — 07 Feb 2016
These two boneheads haven't made a good film together since Wedding Crashers. The Internship is a very bad attempt at comedy and more of a film made for Vaughn and Wilson to prove they are good hearted people instead of obnoxious idiots.
Exactly what nobody wants to see with these two. Entertaining in a nineties comedy sort of way with nothing original in "attempts at humor" and some very average storytelling in the competitive drama department.
Why do directors think that getting children or nerds drunk is a funny enough concept to carry a good chunk of their feature? It's almost a given that any new comedy with children and adults must contain a scene with strippers and alcohol.
