Review of The International (2009) by Sampsa K — 13 Apr 2010
Thoroughly engrossing and thrilling, it succeeds where it matters most: intellectually. Sure, the characters do the same action movie cliche things (running up to rooftops to try to escape, thus trapping themselves) but its a movie that demands thought, and Tom Tykwer's impressive use of subtle but engaging visuals ensures that what could have been a bore of a movie ends up being an intriguing thriller.
