Review of The International (2009) by Jacek K — 27 Apr 2011
Meh. The only really great aspects of this film are the beautiful cinematography and the action sequences. The music is alright too. The plot isn't very well integrated, at times relying on direct explanation from characters instead of things being implied to the viewer.
The dialogue is pretty terrible throughout. Like really, seriously bad. I found myself wondering, is the acting bad? Or is it that the dialogue is so bad it's impossible for a good actor to salvage it? I think it's definitely the bad screenwriting that makes the actors look bad in this case.
Kind of unfortunate for the actors....
