With the aid of Assistant DA Eleanor Whitman (Naomi Watts) in New York, Interpol Agent Louise Salinger (Clive Owen) is attempting to find the evideance needed to expose the Luxemborg based International Bank of Bussiness and Credit, the IBBC, and there invovlment in money laundering, financing of third world conflicts, political assassination and the IBBC's upcoming plan to become the sole supplier of cheap Chinese weapons to the Middle East.

Deceint spy thriller with a villian a whole lot of people are gonna want to see taking down a peg or two *cough*cough*occupywallstreet. Billed as an action-thriller its really only just a thriller though there is a nicely staged gun fight in the Gugenheim Art Gallery in NYC. Clive Owen plays Clive Owen and Naomi Watts, though gorgious is given little to do. In fact all the characters are under written. The film expects us to like Owen and Watts because there Owen and Watts, expects us to hate the bankers led by Ulrich Thomson, who is German enough to let us know he's evil, because there bankers. Armin Mueller-Stahl, enjoying a surge of noterity late in his career thanks to Eastern Promises, is an ex-Stasi agent advising the IBBC, and is enjoyable to watch. Can't really recommend it but its not horrid enough to bash on. If you hate your bank, listen to The Alex Jones Show or are a fans of the leads check it out. Catch it on TV the rest of you.
