Review of The Intern (2010) by Chris K — 19 Feb 2016
This movie has a great cast, good premise and just a good recipe for a great movie. Sadly it wasn't what I expected at all. The script was poorly written and the first half of the movie was up its own a$$ with happiness.
It was cheesy and boring. Within the first ten minutes, me and my girlfriend both looked at each other, both realizing we had made a huge mistake. Thankfully, about halfway through the film drops a huge bombshell that FINALLY causes some dramatic tension.
Unfortunately, it was too late for me to get interested. I walked into this film with high hopes and walked out angered, angry because I didn't get to see the Robert de Niro I wanted to see. Angry because I know Anne Hathaway is much better than she seemed in this film.
Angry because I lived in New York and I know that no one is that freaking happy. Do not waste your money or your time. 1 star.
